Telephone
I know one coach recommends this phone. Quote: "I have a Panasonic KX-TG2357. 2 lines, 2 phones, caller ID, speakerphone, and I love it!" I'm sharing her advice, because the phone is probably one of the most important pieces of equipment a coach owns. So are recorders for recording phone calls (I've heard raves about the Olympus), and telephone headsets. (I will probably go with a Plantronics, but Radio Shack carries some inexpensive models you might want to monkey with if you're just starting out and want to get a feel for what's important to you.)

Vista Print
Order free business cards (pay for shipping). I've done this twice now, so I can field test different business identities. My husband carries a casual card alongside his company card for personal contacts.

Client Compass
This software will allow you to manage your clients, and assists in tracking the hours needed to achieve certification. The PC version is widely touted. I cannot speak for the Mac version (and I'm a Mac lover).

TRI
TRI is a training and consulting company located in Huntington Beach which is best known for its extensive MBTI qualifying program. If you wish to become certified to administer the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, this is the best program on the planet. They also deliver team-building programs and trainings to corporate sites.
